Gloucester Cave Rescue Group Training Day  - 10th March 2018

If anyone is available this Saturday, GCRG are holding a training day, with details supplied below. If you want to attend, please contact Ian Healey via his email address below, to find out details of location etc;

Dear GCRG Member

We look forward to seeing you at the GCRG Depot 09:30 on Sat 10th March for our rescheduled GCRG Training Day, following the cancellation of our Dec date.

Please arrive for a prompt 09:30 start. We will be finishing by 2.45pm. Don’t forget to bring some lunch and we’ll have a break to catch up with friends then. We’ll be rotating 3 or 4 groups around 4 different workshops. The main areas we will look at are Stretchers and Hauls, Equipment, the Depot & Vehicles and the Larkin Frame.

NB We are always looking for volunteers to lead/help lead various workshops and teams at our training days. If you are an experienced member please step forward to help in these roles. Please email me with offers of help for this and subsequent training days. We can then discuss what roles you would like to help with.

Please bring the minimum of a helmet for being in the fall-zone for the haul related activities. If you want to work at height you will need the minimum of sit harness and cowstails or preferably a full SRT kit. Warm weather proof clothes for being outside or in the unheated garage are also a requirement.

The SARCALL notification will happen on the Friday evening. As always please make sure you respond.

 E-mail round some friends to make sure they’re coming and look at sharing transport as appropriate.

We look forward to seeing you then.

Kind regards

Ian Healey
