South and Mid Wales Cave Rescue Team responded to a callout to Agen Allwedd on the evening of 10th March 2018.

SMWCRT were called by Dyfed Powys Police at 21:45 on Saturday night to report an overdue party of four cavers from an out of area club on an Outer Circle trip in Agen Allwedd. 

Callout commenced after speaking to the informant who confirmed that a sensible callout time had been left for the trip (underground at 10:20, callout 21:00). Teams started to converge on Whitewalls.

The overdue cavers returned to Whitewalls at 22:53 after a member of the party was unable to do the Coal Cellar squeeze and the trip had to be reversed. They were met by an assembling team from SMWCRT. 

The incident was closed by 23:42
