WBCRT Fundraising

Maintaining an effective Cave Rescue capability has always been a challenge to cavers, not least because of the need to raise money for equipment. The WBCRT has well organised equipment, ready to be put into use at short notice, and further items set aside for training purposes. We also have a Landrover Ambulance. Keeping all of this up to date and in a safe and acceptable condition has been financed for many years largely through the efforts of team members. Parties at SWCC, auctions, attendance at shows and other occasional events have kept a modest income flowing.

As a voluntary organisation working on behalf of the Police, we receive no funding of any kind. All income is attained either through donations, fundraising events and initiatives or through applying for grants.

To make a donation to WBCRT, you can:
1 - Put money directly into the donation boxes at SWCC at Dan-yr-Ogof or at local pubs.
2 - Send a cheque directly to the WBCRT Treasurer:

3 - Donate through your Caving Club on an annual basis with your club subscription – see your Treasurer for details.
4 - Set up a Standing Order with your bank for monthly, quarterly or annual donations to the team. Contact the WBCRT Fundraising Manager for details:
5 - Donate Directly Online at at our donation page on Charities Aid Foundation (CAF)

Also don’t forget, if you are a taxpayer, fill in a gift aid form when you are making a donation. These are available from the Treasurer or Fundraising Manager.

We greatly appreciate all donations made, no matter how small or large.
