Membership of WBCRT
WBCRT welcomes the input and membership of all cavers active in South or Mid Wales. To be a member of the team and to be available for call out, it is necessary to be included on our Call Out List. New members fill in a Call Out Database Form to provide information which assists in making call-out and deployment decisions. A downloadable copy of the form is available here.
Forms can also be found under the WBCRT notice board in the Foyer of the South Wales Caving Club or from any WBCRT committee member. The assistance of both caving and non-caving team members during a rescue are both essential and greatly valued.
Training in all aspects of cave rescue is given at regular practises and workshops. It is important to understand that you do not have to be an experienced cave rescuer to join WBCRT. The range of skills required to keep the team effective is wide and we were once all new to cave rescue.
